The idea of an Amazon Smartphone, just a faint murmur in the wind late last year, has gained some credibility. Several news outlets have reported that the e-commerce giant is already in the testing phases of a device that could be released at the end of this year or at some time in early 2013. According to Bloomberg, the device will be manufactured by Foxconn, the same company that produces Apple’s iPhone.
