Presidential Videos; Presidential Orders; Internet Freedom

What politicians say and what they do are often very different. It has never been so easy to find out both. The American Presidency Project has compiled over 500 videos of Obama plus State of the Union and Inaugural Addresses, Press Releases, and Executive Orders.

Many people who are interested in freedom are particularly interested in the content of Executive Orders. They are how Presidents for many years now have accumulated dictatorship-like powers without needing Congress or The Supreme Court to acquire them. This is clearly unconstitutional, but under the guise of “national security” little has been done to stop them.

I only found that site because Murray Newlands covered the Live YouTube Video coverage of the Presidential Debates and offered tips on how to use video to promote whatever is important to you:

I encourage you to realize that there are many belief systems – more than most can even imagine. While some are staunchly partisan and believe it matters whether a Democrat or Republican is elected, others see that the same programs are enacted regardless of who is President.

We have to stop being so naive. Politicians lie to get into office and then do whatever those who paid their way into that office demand. There is a reason there are only two parties. It makes it easy to polarize public opinion and keep them so busy arguing about specific volatile issues that we ignore what is going on behind the scenes until it is too late.

The “bourgeoisie” are the middle class – the people who make enough money to have their needs met so that they are so focused on acquiring more bling and keeping up with the Jones’ that they don’t notice inflation is about to take their comforts away from them.

Those who focus on being entertained will soon learn that the jobs are gone, fuel and food prices are out of control, and the debt that was manageable has become impossible to repay. We need to use the blogging and social media skills we have to make a difference while we still have the Internet as we know it.
