Tutorial On Album Usage
This tutorial should cover everything you need to know about using the various “Album” forms. To access your “Album” and creating a new one, click on “View Your Profile”, then “Albums”.
General Albums
- This Album form is for regular photos. The Album upload for images supports all image files.
- Select “General”, then you will be prompted to upload your image file.
- The maximum allowable image size is 100MB (pretty large!)
- Once you have uploaded your image file, click “Detailed View”, or “Grid View”
- Detailed View allows you to title, describe, and categorize your image file.
- The Grid View is a standard upload.
Video Albums
- Video Albums work in the same way that General Albums do, including file size, video description options using “Detailed” or “Grid View”
- Blog Interact supports a vast array of video formats, including mov, flv, and wmv file types to name just a few. Again, be certain that your file size does not exceed 100MB (supports large videos!)
- For those of you that would like to download an embedded YouTube video, if you are using Windows OS, download this free software from CNET. It is packed with features, enabling the user to change the video into multiple formats, including MP3 and MP4 audio only, if you are so inclined. The software will also “debrand” the YouTube labels to allow for a less “branded” video upload. Furthermore, it allows for you to convert the video into standard, high quality, HD, and Full HD contrast. (Remember, the file size increases with increased quality!)
- If you are using a MAC / Apple computer, the same free software download is available from CNET in MAC version by following this link.
- This is further documentation on the various video sizes and skins that are available. However, you will have to identify your Album and what size / format / you would like for a particular video or podcast, and I can make the immediate changes!
Audio Albums
- Audio uploads function the same as video and photo albums, and many file types are supported.
Editing Any Album
- Editing any album is very easy. Simply navigate to the “Album” through your “Profile”, find the Album, and scroll over it. These options will open in the “Album” window.
- View Album, Image Manager, Album Information, Publish To Activity Stream, and Delete Album
